A 200 plus Million Valencia City Public Market project is now on the stage of installing the steel roof trusses. This two (2) storey Public Market constructed right in the commercial hub of the City will help small scale entrepreneurs to open up their start up business or branching out their existing business, thus boosting up the local economy and eventually provides employment. The project site is formerly owned by a prominent family and early settlers of Valencia and donated it to the local government way back in 1960s. This family owns an emporium of this City.
This project is funded by a Government Financial Institution and projected to be completed by next year, 2012, estimated in the last quarter. The old public market were razed by fire, sometime in 2009.
