There are lots of apprehensions or critiques on the new Airport in Misamis Oriental when it was opened last June 15, 2013.
"Loose
security measures, "colorum" or illegal transport service, cleanliness
and lack of trash bins are just some of the main issues and concerns
raised by the commuters in the recently opened Laguindingan Airport in
Misamis Oriental"-as Sunstar's reporter Abigail C. Malalis stressed out
on her article entitled" CAAP's Challenge : Laguindingan Airport Woes.
But
Bukidnon commuters who are bound for Manila or to any other key cities
in the country raised some issues that the travel time in going to the
Laguindingan Airport from Bukidnon will now be extended for another
minutes thus prolonging also the agony and inconvenience in commuting.
However, this is only applies to the commuters. But those who has
service vehicle, they will also experience a prolong driving time in
going to the new airport.
Some
Bukidnon residents, especially those that are residing in the Southern part of the Province, raised also their options that its better to go to Davao
International Airport than going to the new airport in Misamis Oriental.
But it is more convenient that the proposed Bukidnon airport as cited by Bukidnon News (sourced also from CAAP) will be realized as soon as possible in order to expedite the delivery of goods and cut the cost in transporting them. The Feasibility Study is expected to be done on July 2013, further stressed out by the CAAP personnel and hopefully that this will not take 22 years to build as cited by Interaksyon on the Laguindingan Airport.
