Capitol Ground, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines.
Jogger's Lane. It is defined as a lane solely provided for not only jogger's but for those who also would like to have some exercises while inhaling the fresh scent of trees, fresh air with cold weather of Malaybalay City.
Through a Sangguniang Panlalawigan's Resolution, this is to provide City folks a place for their relaxation after days of work, stress busting place, date with the family or have some picnic on the field after done with a jogging or walking and other related outdoor exercises, according to our Provincial Engineer, Engr. Predolfo "Buddy" Pinto.
The Provincial Engineer, Engr. Pinto also averred that there is also a proposal for the construction of a dancing fountain, to be installed within the premises of the Capitol Ground, located in front of the Capitol Building. But because of the existing area of the available space, the idea in putting a dancing fountain have still to be explored and studied further.
The author suggested a possibility of designing a colorful dancing fountain that is in proportion with the existing area of the space fronting the Capitol Building, but still they have to re-visit the proposal.
The jogger's lane has an approved budget of P2.00 Million with 2 meters width lane. It is also to be provided with simple fountains that are to be installed on opposite edges, Engr. Pinto added.
The Entrace Road - ground works (sub base preparation) |
So with this new development in Malaybalay City Capitol Ground, and the emergence of more joggers, health conscious individuals, runners, are most likely the ones be the direct beneficiaries with this project once it is already completed.
This jogger's lane will not also for these joggers but also to those who want to just walk. Savor the view of green ground which is the ingredient to feel relax from a stressful work.
The humble engineer also averred that the possible completion of this project will be before the Kaamulan Festival of March next year 2012.
Another update : The Kaamulan stage was already extended to two additional stage and introduced a new stronger fence design. If I were to give some suggestions, I would rather build a giant headdress at the back of the stage and introduce a steel support for the roof in order to suit in and represent Bukidnon's landmark.
The jogger's lane project is not only for Malaybalaynon but also for the people of Bukidnon as a whole once they get here in our Provincial Capitol Ground.
